She is a former member of the project girl group IOI. On 27 April it was announced that Sistar would debut a sub-unit Sistar19 with members Hyolyn and Bora. Fx officially debuted in September 2009 with the release of the digital single La Cha Ta.
Sistar returned on 9 August with their first studio album entitled So Cool.
